So former President Biden’s administration aspired for more EV adoption but President Trump has something else in mind.
It says the budget allocated by the former president for subsidies and tax credits on buying EVs, buying and installing home EV charging stations, and deploying public EV charging stations are going to be suspended – According to a group of Political and Industrial Analysts, Jack Ewing at The New York Times, Gino Vicci at CBS News and certain other media houses.
However, according to certain other industry experts and analysts, it’s not going to be easy for the Trump administration to implement all these changes on the ground level.
Due to certain legal vulnerabilities, the orders could face lawsuits and court challenges. Also, the process is slow and time-consuming to reverse past policies and laws – According to Sean Tucker at Kelley Blue Book.
However, the challenge is present for EV’s future and EV automakers who have invested billions of dollars in the EV industry.
As of now gasoline-powered ICE automakers are congratulating Trump for having shared goals.
So for EV aspirants and owners, the challenges seem to be increasing as there is anyway increasing demand for more EV chargers in the market and now top of that there are executive orders!
