What is EV charging?

In simple terms, EV Charging is a process of charging the battery of an Electric Vehicle.

The Battery being at the core of providing the main power to move an Electric Vehicle (EV) through the Electric Motor, it requires the power to be stored internally in order to use it to drive the motor and so vehicle.

That power is nothing but electricity in the form of electrons transferred to it from a power source through a device called an EV Charger or EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment). That electric power transferred is stored in the form of chemical energy in the battery.

This process of transferring power in the form of electrons to the Electric Vehicle’s battery is called EV Charging.

This process is just like how phone charging works.
